Great Vancouver Real Estate Market Still Active

June 11, 2010

Greetings,

Another rainy day in Vancouver – will the sun shine on us today?   In our current real estate market, similar to our weather, a listing sits another day on the market - will an offer shine on it today?

Greater Vancouver area is experiencing a rise in the total number of properties listed while at the same time a decline in sales.  In May we saw 10% more listings and 10% less sales than April.

Overall we have experienced a good 12 months with prices up around 17%. The market is still active with more listings to choose from and very good interest rates still to be had. It is a very good time to shop for real estate.  Buyers are able to take the time to shop and they do not have the pressure of hurrying to buy.

So is it also a good time for sellers to sell?  Absolutely, there are a lot of buyers shopping for real estate and you may own just what they want to buy.  Price the property competitively, make sure it is clean and tidy, always have it ready and available to show and follow the goal to have it be the best it can be.

…And just like the sun will come out… everything will sell with time.

Thinking of buying or selling…why not give us a call or drop us an email.

Here are a couple of listings to share with you:
